K-Beauty Glow Up Editorial Team
Who we are
K-Beauty Glow Up is written by a small, independent editorial team. Every article on the site is published under the name "K-Beauty Glow Up Editorial Team" rather than under individual bylines. We cover K-beauty skincare and everyday beauty routines, explained in plain language. We don't publish invented names, photos, job titles or credentials, and we don't claim professional qualifications we don't have. We're not dermatologists or medical professionals. Our K-beauty guides explain how products and ingredients are commonly used, cite dermatology and research sources where relevant, and are not medical advice. You can read more about the site on our About page.
How we research
We start from questions readers commonly ask and build each article from sources we can link to. Depending on the topic, these include the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) for skin care basics, the FDA for cosmetics and sunscreen rules, published research indexed on PubMed where a claim needs it, and brands' own product pages for ingredient lists and directions. We use manufacturers' specifications and product pages to check ingredient lists, sizes and usage directions, and where it helps we look at recurring patterns in public reader and customer reviews, such as common sizing or durability comments. We use AI writing tools to help with research and first drafts; every article is then reviewed and edited by the team, and facts are checked against the linked sources before it is published. Our Editorial Policy explains this process in more detail.
How we choose products
We don't run a testing lab, and we don't claim to have tested products hands-on unless an article clearly says so. Instead, our guides explain what to look for, and product links usually go to Amazon search results for a product type rather than to a single listing, so you can compare current options, prices and reviews yourself. When we suggest a type of product, we look at:
- The product type suits the skin type or concern the article covers.
- Key ingredients and how they are commonly used, as described by dermatology sources.
- Gentle, fragrance-free or sensitive-skin options where relevant.
- Widely available products across different price points.
We don't accept payment to include a product, and brands don't review our articles before they are published.
How we keep articles up to date
We review articles periodically, and sooner when a source we rely on changes, for example when official guidance is updated or a product is discontinued. Each article shows an "Updated" date at the top; it changes when we make a meaningful edit to the content, not just when the page is rebuilt.
Corrections
If you spot a mistake or something out of date, please contact us with the page address and what looks wrong. We check every report, fix confirmed errors and update the article's date.
Affiliate links and ads
As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. If you buy through an Amazon link on K-Beauty Glow Up, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The site may also show ads. Neither affects which topics we cover or what we suggest. Details are on our Affiliate Disclosure page.
